Privacy Policy
At Volcron Connected Devices (“we”, “us”, “our”), we take data protection seriously and comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- We collect only the information necessary to process your order, communicate with you, and improve our services.
- Payment details are not stored by us; they are securely processed via third-party providers (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, or your chosen payment gateway).
- We may share limited data (name, address, contact details) with our logistics and distributor partners solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order and providing after-sales support.
- We do not sell, rent, or share customer data for marketing outside our own group of companies and brands.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting: privacy@ruggeddevices.co.uk.
All distributors and service partners we use are expected to be GDPR-compliant and to handle customer data strictly for order fulfilment and related services.

1. General
1.1 All sales are subject to these Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, those of our authorised distributors and manufacturers. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1.2 We reserve the right to amend product specifications, pricing, and availability without prior notice.
1.3 These terms apply to business customers and professional users. Consumer rights for non-business customers are not affected where applicable.
2. Pricing & Payment
2.1 Unless otherwise stated, all prices are listed exclusive of VAT.
2.2 Payment must be made in cleared funds before goods are dispatched, unless a credit account has been agreed in writing.
2.3 We accept bank transfer, major debit/credit cards, and approved finance options shown at checkout or in your quotation.
2.4 Leasing and finance plans are typically available for qualifying business orders (usually £1,000+), subject to status and approval by our finance partners.
3. Leasing & Finance
3.1 Smart Rugged Devices offers flexible business leasing and finance through selected third-party partners.
3.2 Lease terms typically range from 12 to 60 months, subject to partner criteria.
3.3 Leasing can offer potential tax advantages, such as allowing businesses to offset payments against taxable profits. You should seek independent tax advice.
3.4 All leasing and finance arrangements are subject to status, credit checks and the terms of the third-party lender. We do not guarantee approval.
4. Device Buyback & Recycling
4.1 We may offer a device buyback programme on select products to help you release funds towards new equipment.
4.2 Buyback value is assessed on a case-by-case basis and depends on model, condition, age and market value.
4.3 Devices must be in working order, free from activation locks and free of any outstanding finance.
4.4 We can provide certified data-wiping and compliant recycling services for obsolete or end-of-life hardware upon request.
5. Delivery & Title
5.1 Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery to the address provided.
5.2 Title to the goods remains with VLCRN Ltd until we have received payment in full for all sums due in respect of the goods.
5.3 Delivery times are indicative and may vary depending on distributor stock levels, carrier performance and location.
5.4 We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control (e.g. courier delays, customs, strikes, or supply-chain issues), but we will keep you informed where possible.
6. Warranty
6.1 All items are covered under the manufacturer or distributor warranty applicable to the specific product. Warranty periods, coverage and claim processes vary by vendor and model.
6.2 Full warranty details are usually provided on the product page or in the manufacturer documentation.
6.3 Extended warranty, advance-replacement and accidental damage options may be available on certain products at additional cost.
6.4 Warranty does not normally cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised repair, or normal wear and tear unless explicitly stated.
7. Returns & Cancellations
7.1 Returns are accepted only in line with the relevant distributor’s RMA policy and our own returns procedures. You must obtain an RMA or returns authorisation before sending goods back.
7.2 Special-order, bespoke-configured, software-only, licence-only or non-stock items are generally non-returnable, except where required by law or where goods are faulty on arrival.
7.3 Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible and before dispatch wherever feasible. Once goods have shipped, cancellations may be treated as a return and may be subject to restocking or handling fees.
7.4 Returned goods must usually be in “as new” condition with all original packaging, accessories and documentation, unless being returned as faulty.
8. Liability
8.1 VLCRN Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business, arising from product use, inability to use the product, or delays/failures in delivery.
8.2 Our total aggregate liability in respect of any claim relating to goods supplied shall be limited to the amount paid for those specific goods.
8.3 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Governing Law
9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
9.2 Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
10. Fraud & Security Checks
10.1 To protect our customers, our suppliers and our business, all orders are subject to fraud screening and security checks.
10.2 We reserve the right to:
- Place orders on hold while we carry out additional verification checks.
- Request further information, such as proof of identity, proof of address, or proof of business trading (e.g. company registration details, VAT number).
- Verify billing and delivery details with payment providers, card issuers, or third-party fraud-prevention services.
10.3 If we are unable to verify the legitimacy of an order, or if it is flagged as high risk by our fraud systems or payment providers, we may:
- Cancel the order and refund any payments received;
- Refuse to ship to certain addresses or regions;
- Require payment by alternative methods (e.g. bank transfer) before processing.
10.4 Fraudulent orders, attempted fraud, or chargebacks believed to be abusive may be reported to the relevant payment providers, banks, carriers, and law-enforcement agencies.
10.5 By placing an order, you agree to co-operate with any reasonable fraud-prevention checks we may carry out and understand that these measures are in place to protect all parties.
SIM & IoT SIM Orders
1) Ordering & checkout pricing display
1.1 £0 checkout display: SIM and IoT SIM orders, charges auto discount to £0 at checkout allowing you to make purchase with no immediate payment due while we complete checks and onboarding, which we will contact you to discuss once sale is made. Please note they will be billed monthly at pricing and tariff chosen during order journey on website, not at £0.
1.2 Order as normal: You should still submit your order in the usual way. We will not begin service until checks are complete.
2) Checks, confirmation and activation
2.1 Verification & onboarding: After purchase we may carry out account, credit and/or identity verification checks (including automated requests where appropriate).
2.2 Confirmation call/contact: Before activation, we will contact you to confirm key details, including intended usage, device type(s), coverage requirements, any roaming needs, delivery method and your preferred activation/start date.
2.3 Dispatch/activation: Once confirmed, we will arrange activation and dispatch/delivery of SIMs in line with the agreed plan and provider process.
3) Provisioning route (network or wholesale partner)
3.1 Best-fit matching: Depending on your requirements and devices, SIMs may be provisioned directly with a mobile network or via a trusted wholesale partner.
3.2 Provider documentation: Where required, the relevant provider’s terms and order documentation will be supplied for acceptance and/or signature prior to connection.
4) Start of agreement
4.1 Your agreement starts on the earlier of:
- the date of your order confirmation, or
- (where applicable) the date you receive your SIM card(s).
5) Contract length, documentation and payment setup
5.1 Minimum term: The contract length is the term shown on your order form/contract documents.
5.2 Provider terms: You may need to accept and/or sign the network/wholesale provider’s terms as part of the connection process.
5.3 Direct Debit/payment details: Once accepted, you will be provided with payment setup instructions (including Direct Debit details where applicable).
6) In-contract price changes (RPI/CPI)
6.1 Some networks/providers apply mid-contract price increases, often linked to RPI/CPI. Where applicable, these increases will be passed through to your tariff charges.
6.2 Full details will be included in the provider’s terms pack and/or welcome documentation.
7) “Unlimited” plans, fair usage and spend caps
7.1 Unlimited tariffs: “Unlimited” data plans are subject to the provider’s Fair Usage Policy. This can be supplied on request.
7.2 Spend cap: A spend cap may be applied to SIMs to control out-of-bundle charges. Spend caps can typically be amended by request (either via the provider or through our team, depending on the provisioning route).
8) Roaming
8.1 If you plan to roam, you should contact us before travelling so we can confirm expected charges and whether your destination is included within your tariff.
8.2 Roaming terms and charges will also be included in the provider’s welcome/terms documentation.
9) Coverage checks
9.1 You are responsible for confirming that adequate coverage is available in your primary usage locations for the selected network/tariff before activation.

10) Cancellations and termination
10.1 Cancellation rights, early termination charges and any cooling-off provisions are set out in the provider’s cancellation policy and terms supplied during the order/acceptance process.
10.2 Where a service has been activated, cancellation may not be possible without charges, depending on provider terms and the stage of provisioning.
